My ‘Why’…

I like solving problems and I love business! The more complicated it is, the better.

Businesses impact almost everyone, either as a customer or an employee or as someone who is indirectly impacted by a business.

The way businesses are run impacts our economy, our society, our governments and our nature. That’s why, solving the problems of businesses is about solving humanity’s problems.

When did this “why” get me? When I was in 10th grade!

Side Effect: I don’t like to deal with business clients who are only interested in maximizing profits. Their business should have an ethical good side to it.

I’m Open to..

I am open to be your strategy advisor, as long as,

  • You value, the role of a strategy advisor for a business
  • You are ready, for implementing change in your organisation
  • You are ready, to change your own mindset
  • You understand, that change takes time, and business is a “long game”
  • You understand that spending on consulting is an investment and not an expense

Consulting as a Profession…

aboutnew2

My consulting career started soon after my Masters from Exeter University in 2001.

My aspiration was to be in Investment Banking, but it was an unexpected opportunity that paved my way into Management Consulting.

It was love at first sight.

I deeply enjoyed (and to this day, enjoy) the thrill of learning new things, understanding my markets, products, industries and the challenges that entrepreneurs (from different levels of exposure, experience and generation) face in handling the changes that their businesses are exposed to.

I had the opportunity to work with a Strategy Advisory firm based in Abu Dhabi, that was founded by an American and a German. Started my career, reporting to and working under several senior consultants of different nationalities. It was the foundation of a 20+ years (and still counting) of consulting.

I take great satisfaction in the businesses I was able to add value to, and in the team that I was able to develop who grew up to be remarkable consultants.

Most of my consulting was in Kerala, but since 2022, I have moved to UAE, to be part of the exciting growth happening across GCC.

As a Business Strategy Advisor, I focus mainly on enabling business leaders to take the right decisions that will help them in growth and continuity.

Education Background…

Education Background…

I hail from a business family based in Al Ain. And hence, I had my schooling in Al Ain (UAE) till 8th Grade. Later, my 9th to 12th (PDC) was at a boarding school in Trichur (India), where I studied at Ansar English School and Ansar Commerce College. My bachelor degree (BBM- Bachelor of Business Management) was from Mangalore University (India). My Masters (MA Finance & Investment) was from Exeter University, UK.

My education, the courses that I took and the places that I studied, played an important role in shaping who I am today. My early school days at Al Ain helped me with learning 4 languages and multicultural exposure.

My life at the boarding school taught me how to live life away from parents, be independent, team work, leadership, loyalty, ethical values and to be adventurous. It was a game changer. The school has a very strong alumni, and their network is quite strong globally.

My degree life, in a different state in India, was another exposure. Had some of my best memories, learnings, exposure and experiences there.

My masters at Exeter University has been the foundation of my career’s success. The rigorous program, the diverse students from across the globe, the experienced and qualified professors and tutors all played a role in shaping me to take on serious challenges. My team won first in an international portfolio management competition, as well.

I strongly believe that to be a successful entrepreneur, and more importantly, a successful strategy advisor, one has to be a student all the time. We have to keep on learning new things and honing new skills. And that is something I keep doing. The results of the new knowledge, you will experience in the coming months as new services, podcasts and posts.

So stay tuned!
